Starting this year, Wells Fargo works directly with you to certify your college-age student dependents’ eligibility.
If you have college-age student dependents (age 19 until 24th birthday), complete the certification online during the enrollment period, November 10 – 21, 2008.
How to Certify Your College-Age Student Dependents
Sign on to the Your Benefits tool, and click the "Student Certification" link.
After launching the Your Benefits tool, step-by-step instructions will guide you through the certification process.
Review your Benefits Confirmation Statement to ensure all your college-age student dependents are properly certified and correctly enrolled in benefits for 2009.
If you see this symbol, or your dependent is not listed on the Benefits Confirmation Statement, your dependent is not certified.
Note: If you do not complete certification by the last day of Annual Benefits Enrollment (November 21, 2008) your college-age student dependents’ coverage will end effective January 1, 2009.
Certify Dependents Early: If you fail to certify your dependent during the enrollment period, you may reenroll and certify your eligible dependent during the correction period (December 1 – 5, 2008). However, this process will be more complicated and time-consuming because the "Student Certification" link will no longer be active.
