2009 Annual Benefits Enrollment
Monday, November 10 Through Friday, November 21, 2008
We want to make sure you have what you need to find the benefits that fit you and your family best. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind as you get ready to enroll.
Remember, if you have changes, you must enroll in your benefits online.
Plan Ahead
Enroll Early
Enroll from Monday, November 10 until 9:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, November 21, 2008.
When you're ready to enroll, sign on to Your Benefits with your email/LAN ID and password. Note: You will be prompted to review your personal information. If you make changes that alter your benefits choices, you will get a message telling you to wait one day before you enroll or make more changes.
Server traffic increases toward the end of Annual Benefits Enrollment. Enroll early to avoid any online delays.
Call volume to the HR Service Center also increases toward the end of Annual Benefits Enrollment. Don't wait till the last minute. You'll enjoy a quicker response time if you call early in the enrollment period.
Initial Benefits Enrollment
If you are newly hired, rehired, or newly eligible for benefits (i.e., your position is reclassified, such as a change from flexible to regular status), you will receive a Benefits Enrollment Kit.
Confirmation and Corrections
In late November, you'll receive an email about how to confirm your benefits enrollment. Sign on using your email/LAN ID and password and review your Benefits Confirmation Statement. You can make changes during the correction period, Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5. Remember, the correction period is your last opportunity to make changes.

Extended hours are available during the last three days of Annual Benefits Enrollment:
- November 19 – 21, open until 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time
- Weekend support available November 15 – 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time
