Mental Health

If you or your covered dependents are enrolled in any health plan through Wells Fargo, mental health and substance abuse coverage is also provided by Optum Health Behavioral Solutions (OHBS).

How the Plan Works

  • OHBS has a network of providers that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and master's-level licensed therapists. You can find providers in your area through the Provider Directory Service.
  • If you elect a medical plan that includes both in-network and out-of-network benefits, you can use either in-network or out-of-network coverage through OHBS. If you elect a medical plan that only includes in-network benefits, such as a health maintenance organization (HMO) or exclusive provider plan (EPP), only in-network benefits are available through OHBS. Out-of-network benefits are not available.
  • For in-network mental health or substance abuse benefits, you will pay a $20 copay per visit for outpatient care and 10% coinsurance for inpatient care.
  • If you are enrolled in the HSA High Deductible Health Plan, outpatient and inpatient mental health and substance abuse benefits are paid 20% after the deductible when using an in-network provider.
  • If you are enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare Consumer Direct Health (CDH) Plan, expenses are not deducted from your health reimbursement account (HRA) and you can use either in-network or out-of-network coverage through OHBS.
