Annual Benefits Enrollment is your only opportunity to select or change your medical, dental, and vision coverage and to enroll in or renew your flexible spending accounts. Note: You may change coverage in these plans outside Annual Benefits Enrollment only if you experience a Qualified Event. In addition, you may enroll in Optional Long-Term Disability or Accidental Death and Dismemberment. And, there are special one-time enrollment opportunities for life insurance and long-term care plans.

Almost all plans have changes

Nearly every benefit plan has a change, so don’t assume that the plans you picked last year are the same or still the best choice for you.

  • Learn what’s new. Use this site to understand the changes and what plans are available to you. Read these materials carefully and use the resources provided to you so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
  • Choose your coverage for 2010. Attend a benefits meeting, watch the videos, use the Medical Plan Comparison Tool and the Provider Directory Service, and refer to the Rates and Comparison Charts to compare plans and coverage that best meets your needs.
  • Enroll online from home or work. Review your options and enroll online if you want to make changes or need to make new elections because of plan eliminations or plan additions (see Special notes below). In addition, you must reenroll if you would like flexible spending accounts for 2010 — even if you are enrolled for 2009 — because enrollment does not carry over.

Special notes for Wells Fargo team members

  • The UnitedHealthcare PPO Plan for 2010 will no longer have copayments. Instead, for all services, including office visits, you’ll be required to satisfy a deductible first, then you’ll pay 20% of the cost. Annual physicals and well-child exams are covered at 100%.
  • The Aetna Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) replaces the CIGNA Exclusive Provider Plan and has been expanded to many states.
  • All health maintenance organization (HMO) plans and the Aetna EPO will have a $25 copay for office visits.
  • Basic and Optional Long-Term Disability plan benefits have changed and the enrollment process is different. Liberty Mutual is the new carrier.
  • For Optional Term Life Insurance, a new group term life insurance plan will replace your Group Universal Life Plan. You may also increase your coverage one level without proof of good health.
  • Important: If you do not enroll, your current plans (or a replacement plan) and coverage level will continue, except for the flexible spending accounts and the Accidental Death and Dismemberment Plan.
  • You will find additional notes, where appropriate, throughout this site. In addition, you can use Your Benefits Program to find information about special situations relating to your benefits and about those plans that are available to you based on where you live.
