Michael Mudler
Just out of college, with a new degree in economics, Mike Mudler started to look for a good company to work for. He was very pleased when a “temp” data entry job brought him to Well Fargo’s Business Direct, where he’s been ever since.
Mike explained that he saw right away that possibilities at Wells Fargo are “virtually limitless.” Although he’s remained in the same business group, he has moved to a variety of positions within that group. He’s also taken advantage of Well Fargo’s tuition reimbursement program to attend the University of Phoenix at night to obtain a project management certificate.
He was pleased when his manager suggested he attend the Emerging Leadership Seminar (ELS) to prepare himself for a leadership role in the company. He wants to learn to be a good manager, too, as that is very different from most of the analytical positions he has had.
“Your career is your responsibility,” Mike said recently. “Don’t just show up for a paycheck, and don’t wait for someone to tap you on the shoulder. You have to go out and find opportunities. They won’t just fall into your lap.”
