Corporate Properties This group provides real estate management services for Wells Fargo-owned and leased properties – including acquisition, disposition and leasing of facilities; physical maintenance of the facilities; and execution of projects for modeling and construction of new facilities.

Wells Fargo Phone Bank The Phone Bank is one of the company’s largest banking channel alternatives, supporting the financial needs of consumer, high-value and investment customers. Our person-to-person customer service, available 24-hours a day, is an innovation pioneered by Wells Fargo. Customers can bank when, where and how they choose, with requests such as transferring funds and stopping payments available by phone through automated technology.
Operations Wells Fargo’s Operations teams fulfill the company’s commitments through efficiencies in processing customer statements, opening new accounts, safeguarding customer accounts, maintaining one of the industry’s largest networks of ATMs, and more.
DIVERSIFIED PRODUCTS GROUP (DPG) DPG encompasses a broad range of Wells Fargo products and services, including Card Services, Education and Auto Finance and Small Business Banking, among others.
Card Services Wells Fargo Card Services is a leader in the payments industry. Our business units – including consumer credit card, pre-paid card, consumer and business ATM/debit cards, and global remittance services – work together to capture all of our customers’ payments needs. These units manage over 6.3 million credit card holders; 15.4 million debit card holders (making Wells Fargo the number 2 issuer of debit cards in the United States); 2.9 million ATM card holders; and the transfer of more than $56 million to customers’ relatives in Mexico, India and the Philippines. Card Services is also focused on new product development, including the new Smart Spender Plan, which creates greater value for our customers.
Education and Auto Finance Wells Fargo Education Financial Services (EFS) is a leading provider of educational credit in the United States. We lend over $3.5 billion per year to students and families to fund higher education and currently manage almost $12 billion in outstanding student loans. In addition, Wells Fargo originates and services its loans; thus, our borrowers have the assurance that their loans will not be sold to another entity.
The Auto Finance Group is supported by approximately 1,500 team members and offers national automobile loan and lease services through more than 10,000 dealers over the Internet. It is a sales and service operation with sophisticated back-office systems and financial applications and is ranked number 3 nationally, with more than $15 billion in assets. Wholesale and sales business includes indirect retail auto lending, dealer floor plan and real estate financing, and dealer non-credit services. Operations centers are located in Santa Ana and Walnut Creek, CA; Tempe, AZ; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Boise, ID; Salt Lake City, UT; and Victoria, TX. The Servicing and Loss Prevention Group services and collects on all indirect auto leases and loans.

INTERNET SERVICES GROUP Since its launch in 1989 (three years before its competition), Wells Fargo’s online banking service now serves more than three million Internet customers, and the number of Internet customers keeps growing. PRIVATE CLIENT SERVICES (PCS) PCS provides a full line of wealth-management services for high-net-worth and affluent clients, delivered by a team of experienced financial professionals. Clients benefit from comprehensive financial management, in one integrated program of customized services, designed to meet the complex financial needs of individuals and families. PCS serves almost one million individuals, families and corporations and oversees more than $122 billion in assets, of which $48 billion is actively managed for high-net-worth investors (as of December, 2002). The four primary business lines are:
- Investment Management. Has more than 250 high-net-worth portfolio managers in 23 states.
- Trust and Estate Services. Includes wealth management and estate planning, investment consulting, trust administration, estate settlement services, real estate and specialty asset management, philanthropic planning, elder care services, and legacy and special-needs trusts.

Diversified Growth Segments The Diverse Growth Segments Group identifies and implements marketing initiatives to address specific needs of the fast-growing diverse customer segments, including African Americans, Asian Americans and Latinos. TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION GROUP This group provides the infrastructure foundation for customers and internal business partners. This includes the Enterprise Availability Coordination Office, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Hosting Services, Connectivity Services, Enterprise Business Services & Information Management, as well as Applications Development teams that support Home & Consumer Finance, Retail and Wholesale, and Corporate & Investment Systems Technology. The group’s team members are continuously recognized for their contributions, ensuring the delivery and fulfillment of a technology infrastructure that guarantees any product or service can be delivered as committed. Technology Group team members are responsible for: the technology foundation of Wells Fargo; application development; hardware and connectivity; and maintaining an up-to-date and safe technology environment.
WHOLESALE BANKING Wholesale Banking serves middle-market and large corporate business customers with a comprehensive selection of products and services including traditional lending, treasury management, asset-based lending, access to capital markets, international trade, real estate and institutional investments. Credit Administration The Credit Administration area provides Wells Fargo businesses with guidance and structure in several ways: we establish credit policy and oversee community banking administration and the consumer loan portfolio; we guide development of high-level portfolio MIS and analysis for businesses, along with automated decision support tools; we provide residential and commercial real estate appraisals, environmental reports and cost estimating as well as construction inspection services; and we review all loan portfolios for adherence to corporate policy, underwriting standards and banking regulations.
