These exercises are designed to help you assess your career development. For each step there is a worksheet to help you assess where you would like your career path to lead you.
Step 1: My Reasons for Working (Motivators)
Most of us work because we have to-we need to earn money. However, we usually get more out of working than just our paychecks. We might work because we like being around people, or we might appreciate being a part of a highly-recognized organization.
Step 2: What I Want (Work Satisfiers)
Certain conditions make us feel more satisfied with our work environment. We should recognize and then consider these conditions (satisfiers) as we make our career decisions.
Step 3: Skills Inventory Checklist
An integral part of self-assessment is identifying the skills you already possess and other skills that need development.
Step 4: Who I Am (Self-Management Traits)
Consider your most enjoyable accomplishments.
Step 5: What I Know (Specific Content Skills)

experiences, answer the open-ended statements in this worksheet.
Step 6: What I've Experienced (Job History)
