Information about PartnerShares stock option grant(s) is available online by signing on to Stock Options Management; the recordkeeping and website services administered by Mellon Investor Services. You can access your account from work or from home. The site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To sign on from work: -
Click Sign On in the upper right. -
Enter your LAN username and password. -
Click Sign On. To sign on from home: -

In “Global ID,” enter your employee ID. -
In “PIN,” enter your PIN from the Mellon notification letter. -
In “Stock Symbol,” enter Wells Fargo’s stock symbol: WFC. -

2. How do I model an exercise?

You can model same-day sale (cashless) or buy and hold (cash) exercises by signing on to Stock Options Management, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To sign on from work: -

3. How do I complete a same-day sale exercise?

A same-day sale (cashless) exercise is a method of exercise whereby Wells Fargo Investments simultaneously buys and sells the shares for you on the same day. The exercise cost and taxes are deducted from the gross proceeds, including a transaction fee of $7.95 plus nominal SEC Fees. The net cash is delivered to you through your payroll system, usually within 30 days of your transaction. You can complete a same-day sale online by signing on to Stock Options Management from work or from home. To complete a same-day sale (cashless) exercise: -
Click Grant Summary. -
Select the grant date you want to exercise. -
Click the Exercise button. -
Select Same-Day Sale Exercise from the options. -
Complete the exercise.
Trading and Operating Hours
Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), during New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) trading days
Exercises can be submitted online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Exercises entered outside of trading hours, on a weekend or holiday, will be effective the next business day (provided the grant being exercised does not expire on the next day).
Same-day sale trades submitted between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time (30 minutes prior to the market close) are processed on a "best effort" basis. If a trade is not completed prior to market close, the exercise will be cancelled and the exercise will need to be reentered on a subsequent day.

4. How do I complete a buy and hold exercise?

A buy and hold (cash) exercise is a method of exercise whereby you pay the exercise cost and amount of tax withholding by bank check, certified check, or personal check and receive shares of Wells Fargo common stock. To complete a cash exercise, you will need to send Wells Fargo the money by check or wire for the cost of the shares (option price multiplied by the number of shares you wish to purchase), plus the tax withholdings that are due at the time of exercise. Wells Fargo then issues the shares to your account through Direct Registration at Wells Fargo Shareowner ServicesSM or to your Wells Fargo Investments, LLC brokerage account. To complete a buy and hold exercise: -
Go to Stock Options Management and click Grant Summary. -
Select the grant you want to exercise. -
Click the Exercise button. -
Select Buy and Hold from the drop-down menu. -
Complete the exercise. -
Send in the required funds within the allotted time, as indicated.
Operating Hours
Exercises can be submitted online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Buy and hold exercises are processed as of the day that they are entered up to 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Exercises entered on a weekend or holiday will be effective the next business day (provided the grant being exercised does not expire on the next day).

5. How do I exercise by phone?

Call 1-866 463-1070 to complete a same-day sale (cashless) exercise over the phone. After you have identified yourself, follow the prompts to complete the transaction. You must obtain a confirmation number to ensure your exercise has been saved. Exercises conducted over the phone are allowed from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Eastern Time, only on NYSE trading days.
You can exercise all or a portion of your exercisable PartnerShares, subject to a 20-share minimum, which may be set from time to time. |
