How to apply for short-term assignments

What you need to know

As you are assessing your opportunities and deciding your next steps, you may want to consider pursuing a short-term assignment. The Short-Term Assignment Resource (STAR) Team facilitates these opportunities, which can last from 4 weeks to 18 months, across numerous locations within Wells Fargo.

Note: At this time cross-company short-term assignments are not currently available.

What you need to do

First, complete an individual skills analysis with the STAR Team to determine your background, skill level, and specific interests. This analysis will ensure an appropriate match with potential assignments.  

Eligibility

Your retain status makes you eligible to participate in these short-term assignments.

Timeframe

You can participate in short-term assignments once your nonworking Notice Period or Salary Continuation Leave starts. During the short-term assignment, your Notice Period or Salary Continuation Leave will be placed on hold and will resume when the short-term assignment ends in accordance with the terms of the Salary Continuation Pay Plan.

Compensation

The rate of pay for short-term assignments will be based on the position and skills required.
